Father,
Thank You for reminding me that apart from You, I can do nothing, but by Your power, I can do anything You ask. Thank You that every challenge I face reminds me that must not rely on myself but on You. Thank You that You alone can make me competent to minister for Your name sake. Thank You for using my weaknesses for Your glory.
Thank You that all the trials and struggles of this life are temporary and there is hope for a brilliant future.
And thank You God, that it is all by Your limitless, amazing grace! Without grace, where would I be? I so desperately need this grace that You generously give.
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Thank You that every challenge I face reminds me that must not rely on myself but on You. Thank You that You alone can make me competent to minister for Your name sake. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
Thank You that all the trials and struggles of this life are temporary and there is hope for a brilliant future.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly, we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
And thank You God, that it is all by Your limitless, amazing grace! Without grace, where would I be? I so desperately need this grace that You generously give.
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Happy Thankful Thursday!
Love your thoughts about grace. Boy do I appreciate them. And the verses.
Hugs,

So much so that I've read it twice and need to go back and read it again....without someone interrupting me with a question...

Sweet blessings for your Thursday~
"And thank You God, that it is all by Your limitless, amazing grace! Without grace, where would I be? I so desperately need this grace that You generously give."
I'm thanking God for His grace today also. Isn't He wonderful.
Blessings to you this TT.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I pray that something there encouraged you to keep pressing on with the message God has laid on your heart!
You talked about wanting to know which publishers were open to new authors. That is a great question (I plan on commenting about it on my blog after I write this). I think it may be helpful to seek out the smaller presses first. They are usually more open to just random submissions by way of mail, email, etc. With my first book, my co-author and I sent about 20 proposals to some of the publishers we had names and addresses for from the Christian Writer's Guide book. We went to the Christian bookstore and took down some names of some presses that had multiple books on the shelf, and we targeted those in particular. We actually got some responses from those...some rejections...some no answers...a few "I want to see mores"...and one eventual contract. We got our contract from Shepherd Press this way. People don't realize that it is often as simple as sending an email to inquire. Most of the time, those presses will get back to you in some way.
The more you can write and add to your "bio," the better. Writing articles is a great first step, and often it is alot easier to get past that submission process.
You aren't guaranteed a "next contract", even if you have been published before. Thomas Nelson looked at me much like a first time author when giving consideration to my manuscript. But...it does give you something to hang your hat on. It proves that you have enough publishability to get published at all.
Girl, keep moving! Don't give up! If He can do it for me, He can do it for you. Just rest in the knowledge that He has it all resting in His very capable hands.
Hope this helps!
Lisa :)
