Denise keeps sending me lots of love and I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying that! It's so wonderful to have friends, isn't it? Thanks Denise! I was thinking, why is it that Denise always gets the awards and then she is the one who sends them on to me? I want to give her an award for once! That's really the way it ought to be, you know, since she is such an encouragement. And, then, the opportunity finally came my way! It's my turn to hand out the presents!
Robin, at the Heart of Wisdom blog, kindly sent an award my way - Blogger of Purpose. I have been thinking about PURPOSE lately: making a point to do things intentionally, deliberately and to live with the purpose of Christ before me at all times.
Now it's my turn to pass the award on to people who blog with purpose - divine purpose. These are the people that come to mind (consider yourselves awarded DOUBLY today since you are both friends and bloggers of purpose):
Denise: Her heart overflows with gratitude and praise to God despite many struggles with illness due to diabetes. I am daily encouraged by her faith, which provides the purpose to blog. She is an inspiration to many!
Vicki at Windows to My Soul: Vicki writes always about Christ - keeping her focus pure and making her blog refreshing. Scripture leads the way to deep and provoking thinking in Vicki's blog.
Lysa Terkeurst: Lysa started Proverbs 31 Ministries, which reaches thousands through radio, devotionals, books, speaking and now her blog. Lysa is a true kindred spirit with a desire to be completely authentic in all her writing and speaking. Her honesty and openness allow her Jesus to shine right through her.
Ann Kroeker: Ann's thinking is provocative and engaging. Recently she has discussed at length the purpose of blogging and the manner of blogging effectively. I see in her writings a deep purpose for life and deliberateness in living.
Please visit this site to read about the award. (For some reason, I am having technical difficulties getting the banner to work in blogger - go to the original blog and try the code on your blog - maybe it will work for you.)
